DPS can improve overall productivity by increasing the number of claims a fee earner can handle efficiently and reducing the time taken to process a claim to its conclusion. It also reduces the number of support staff required and enables them to become fee earning paralegals.

Document Assembly 

A new claim file can be opened by simply entering a clients' name, claim reference or the date of accident to produce documents to their conclusion. The system requires you to enter information on the matter only once, to eliminate repetitive routine typing and the manual searching of information.   

DPS Personal Injury automatically creates standard documents and forms from the precedent standard library using in-built intelligence. By selecting paragraphs according to specific rules, or users responses to system prompts, the system reduces the users time spent on manually completing many time consuming aspects to provide substantial time savings to a firm.

Document Management 

The system enables the user to completely automate routine and repetitive work. All information on the files history is easily accessible and the beauty of the system results in the information only needing to be entered once for documents to be processed to their conclusion. 

Electronic Forms Completion 

A unique option for removing the need for pre-printed stationery. DPS allows documents and forms to be printed automatically onto plain paper with all case details completed. 

Documents and forms prepared in this manner, avoid the costly errors connected with poor printer management and high storage space requirements. The benefits include the cheaper cost of using plain paper, coupled with the speed of producing the letters and documents directly onto plain paper. Additionally, documents, letters and forms can be amended easily to encompass individual or firm specific design requirements. 

Time Recording 

A full time recording facility incorporated within the system. You can choose one of two options in which your time can be recorded. Time can be entered by manual input on the screen, or on an integral 'clock' button which allows you to click on and off as necessary to avoid missed and inaccurate time recordings.  

A record of disbursements, telephone calls and correspondence is maintained. This information can be displayed in an instance for any matter and is available for billing purposes. 

E-mail Integration 

DPS integrates with the Microsoft ® Outlook 2000 e-mail system to allow instant communication with your clients, and their case files. By allowing you to save incoming e-mail messages directly onto case files by simple dragging and dropping the message(s) onto the relevant file(s) in one easy step. While, allowing you to send e-mails through DPS, which in turn, are automatically saved on the file you are working on. 

Moreover, the Outlook 2000 diary (Calendar) is updated from DPS's Tasks (To Do) List for increased efficiency in time management and planning.   

Accounts Integration 

The Personal Injury system integrates seamlessly with DPS Cashier Accounting system to give you a complete legal office system for all users within your firm. 

DPS presents you with the option to add DPS Cashier Accounting system at a later date, should your future circumstances need to facilitate an accounts system. The benefit of the integration is real-time and bi-directional, so any updates made on one system are automatically accepted and updated on the other system. 

The design reduces the time spent on input and checking data on two systems, while ensuring that accounts data is kept fully up-to-date on case files within all systems.  Links to Microsoft ® Word 97 and 2000.

All DPS modules integrate effortlessly with Microsoft ® Word 97 and 2000 to allow existing precedents to be incorporated easily.

In addition, the provision of a commonly used interface such as Microsoft ® Word increases acceptance by users, and reduces associated high costs of training to the firm
