Web Services

The objective of the DPS Web Services API (application programming interface) is to provide access to the main functions of One Office case management from a web interface. DPS Web Services allow third party systems full access to case files and information on the DPS system. The services are easy to use and fully compliant with all Microsoft standards for writing web services, and add to the flexibility and functionality of the software.

DPS Web Services can be used by any third party to gain access to any information or functionality required from the DPS system. A web based, local, or networked Third Party can request and collect data from the system a DPS system by a direct connection via the appropriate web service. The tasks that Web Services can undertake include, but are not limited to:

Login and Logout – these are required to enable web services to authenticate the access and user, and audit trail work completed.

Load and save a DPS case file – a case file can be loaded into a third party system, worked on, and saved in the original system.

Search for a matter or client – a full client or matter search can be carried out and the information returned accordingly.

Events on a case file – every case file in DPS has events associated and attached against it. Some of these events can be accessed via web services. In addition, new events can be added, and existing events can be edited or deleted.
