The latest update from DPS allows users to create templates and workflows that include text messaging. This means that the flow automatically sends SMS text messages when key events are hit. As an example in a conveyancing matter, the act of sending the letter confirming exchange can sent automated messages to seller, buyer, agent and anyone else that has been defined in the work flow to receive a message. The file history then contains the sent message and uniquely the confirmation that the message was received by the recipient.

Ad-Hoc messages and email to text messages are also supported and kept against the file history along with their receipt confirmations.

On average, around 69 million text messages are sent everyday in the UK*. There is then little wonder that text messaging can now play a vital role in the working practices of any organisation.

There is no subscription charge for the text message service and texts can be anywhere worldwide. The charges are made per text and DPS users can sign up for the service on the DPS web site; all they pay for is the cost of each text message. These are charged at the standard rate, 10 pence per message, and are payable to TextAnywhere our SMS service provider.
