 Do you need a system that deals with AGFS? (22 May, 2009) |
At the beginning of April 2009 DPS Software announced the launch of the AGFS Billing Module. As the number of solicitors who have been granted advocacy rights grows, so too does the need for a system that can deal with AGFS billing.
The AGFS billing module produces the advocates legal aid bills quickly and easily, improving the efficiency of your firm. Clients who use the DPS OneOffice system for Criminal Billing will be able to use the AGFS module in integration with the Cashier Accounts system from DPS. This integration will enable users to produce accurate WIP analysis and other comprehensive reports, such as fee earner targets.
The AGFS is available as a free upgrade to all SQL Crime users. As the application is only available in the .NET 2.0 Framework, some systems may need to be updated to support this framework.
The .NET 2.0 Framework is available to download for free from Microsoft, or alternatively, Windows Vista automatically has this version of the framework built into the operating system.
The upgrade of the development environment that DPS Software use to produce Case, Account and Digital Dictation software to the .NET 2.0 Framework means that:
• Systems work faster
• Workstations will not have to be changed when updating systems
• Updates are fully automated and can be downloaded from the internet
• Clients can keep up with latest .NET platforms from Microsoft
A number of DPS clients have implemented the AGFS billing module in their firms. Stuart Miller & Co, a specialist Crime firm based in Wood Green, London, are one such firm.
