Legal Software innovators DPS Software have designed an online practice wide diary system to solve the problem of managing multiple fee earner diaries and volume information.
If you need to manage a number of diaries for numerous fee earners possibly spread over more than one office location, you will recognise the problems surrounding the organisation and management of each and every appointment.
While recognisable for every department this can be a particular problem for criminal practices where ppointments are made for a number of different locations, including court appearances and police station duty, often at the same time.
Using a diary tool such as MS OUTLOOK™ is one solution that is very good on a personal or one-to-one basis, but it does struggle to cope with the demands of a busy practice when it comes toorganising multiple fee earners, offices, appointments and locations and the sheer volume of data involved.
DPS Software has recognised this as a significant and costly headache for many firms and has developed the DPS Crime Diary as a solution.
The Crime Diary is a web browser based system that effortlessly manages the diaries of multiple fee earners and volume information. Being web-based, the diary can be accessed from any location, using any web enabled device such as a PDA, laptop or 3G phone. This gives the fee earner a high level of flexibility and functionality when away from the office and when the paper diary is not available or the copy is out of date.
DPS Diary allows the creation of appointment TYPES (such as Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Police Station duty, Prison), LOCATIONS (Horseferry road Magistrates Court, Brixton Prison etc.) as well as all fee earner details and security levels. Any appointment logged in the DPS system is automatically published to the central online diary and in doing so, a confirmation email and calendar appointment are automatically sent from DPS Diaryto the attending fee earner or person, this is then recorded in the
individuals’ Outlook calendar.
Appointments can be sorted by Type, Location, Person, Date or any combination of the criteria ensuring exact information is available when required.
All DPS Diary data is managed by DPS Software and the firm being charged a monthly rental for the service. This is very much in the same way DPS Progress which has been adopted and utilised by many conveyancing firms.
