 Ps in a pod...   (24 November, 2009)

Everyone knows the importance of the 3 ‘Rs’ but now it is time to look at the 3 Ps – PI, Probate and Progress.

If you are concerned about the impact of changes to the Personal Injury process, our newly developed system could help soften the blow. We have also been developing the DPS Probate application with the latest legal requirements and technological advancements. In addition, our online case tracking system could help to improve your customer service and generate extra revenue.

Personal Injury
In last week’s Newsletter we announced changes to the DPS PI system in response to the major reforms the Ministry of Justice will be introducing to the present personal injury claim system.

Developments to the DPS PI system are well progressed and the system will be available to registered users from January 2010. The new PI system will be equipped to handle the new process and documents. The system will make full use of DPS One Office functionality and its task management capability. Chaser letters and tasks will be generated automatically by the claim handler or run from the system itself.

Other features include:

  • Tasks
  • Automated workflow
  • Full, seamless MS Outlook and email integration

The DPS team will discuss and demonstrate the new system at the User Meeting in January. We will also be hosting PI specific seminars in the New Year. To register your interest please click here.

    Probate
Also announced in last week’s newsletter were details of the new Probate module from DPS Software. DPS are offering a free upgrade to the new Probate module for clients with existing SQL software. To discuss implementation of the system, please contact your Account Manager or email
    info@dpssoftware.co.uk.

DPS Probate has been developed for the practitioner who needs to be free of the time consuming and highly repetitive aspects of the probate procedure.

This new module produces estate accounts, schedules of liabilities, gifts and assets for easy preparation of the IHT forms. The required forms are completed automatically and the accounts are exported to MS Excel™ for further editing if required.

In addition, the system is fully equipped with the elements expected of a DPS application such as quick and efficient production of letters and documents, diarisation of tasks and work completed monitoring.

    Case Progress
Online case tracking provides a cost effective and efficient tool to enhance customer service by ensuring clients are kept well-informed. Case Progress from DPS Software is an efficient way of keeping clients and work providers dynamically updated.

This internet-based product enables all parties involved in a matter, such as clients, work providers, estate agents, brokers and solicitors to search and track all matter details and the progress of a case over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Online case tracking has proved very popular with clients and they gave us 7 reasons why practices should use it. Click here to read the results.

Clients who sign up for progress between December 2009 and February 2010 will receive the first 3 months free. Contact your Account Manager or email info@dpssoftware.co.uk to discuss implementation.
