One
Office now has a full HIPs module that guides users
through the process of preparing a Home Information
Pack. This module in common with the other DPS systems
is completely flexible and can be changed to suit
specific requirements. It is available for One Office
and DPS 2004 systems. You may need some training using
it this is expected to be minimal providing you are up
to date with your DPS
expertise.

DPS
have launched an on line diary that was designed with
criminal fee earners in mind. The diary is available on
the internet and lets users view their appointments by
court (location), person, date range, work type, or any
other defined criteria. The court (location) can be a
specific or a type of location, e.g. all magistrates’
courts, or a specific magistrate’s court. The ability to
view the diary using a mobile makes this a truly
portable solution. The system allows attendance notes
and results to be entered against appointments on line
meaning that fee earners can effectively update their
diaries whilst in court. If you would like to trial the
court diary then please speak to you account manager who
will have it set up for you free of charge.

We
aim to increase communication and relationship building
opportunities amongst our users and are following up on
our very successful meeting last year. The meeting is
again being held at the Law Society. The agenda and
booking form is available on the DPS web site. Everyone
that attended last year felt that it was a good use of
their time and I am sure that this year will be no
different. :: book &

has recently upgraded their DPS system to ‘One Office’
with the purchase and integration of the Cashier
accounts solution. At the same time, this practice also
chose to integrate TeamTalk, DPS’ sophisticated digital
dictation system, into their infrastructure. They were
existing users of Big Hand and chose to replace it with
TeamTalk, due to the software’s capabilities and
integration into the DPS product suite. Initially, the
TeamTalk integration was a pilot, however after a
relatively short period of testing; the practice has
opted to replace all of its existing Big Hand Total
Speech licenses to TeamTalk. Interestingly, the reason
for this was not only to do with the integration to the
DPS case system - the practice simply felt that TeamTalk
was a better digital dictation system, offering better
management facilities. A full profile will be available
on this company on the web site in the
future. |

language inside One Office & DPS 2004. This is
available now and you can get one by emailing your
request to info@dpsoftware.co.uk
This manual includes a section of How To’s guides. These
are short step by step guides that cover distinct
functions in your system. The first guide explains how
you can email from the case file and drag and drop
incoming emails straight onto the file. From November
onwards this e-news letter will include a section on the
latest how to guide. If there are any specific topics
that you want covered by the How To guide then please

As
part of a regular feature our Directors, Managers and
staff will be profiled here to help you get to know them
better. Scott is 33 years old and he and Jo (his wife) recently
welcomed their second child Henry. He has been with the
company for 14 years and has gradually moved up through
the company to his current position of Technical
Director. Scott is our in house expert on Criminal
billing and the CDS system. He is aware of current
technical developments and recently specified our own
implementation of a voice over IP (VOIP) phone system
that will allow us to better communicate with our
employees in the field.
