Law Society's Software Solutions Guide 2005
DPS have declined the Law Society's invitation to be included in their 2005/2006 guide. Osman Ismail their Managing Director stated;
" Regrettably we have to decline the invitation for this year as we feel the format of The Guide and your target market do not at this time, match our target business profile. Our focus has shifted over the past 2-3 years, from simply meeting software supply needs to an overall solution led approach requiring client consultation and examination of the business process ."
DPS feel that there should be greater differentiation between suppliers and that the selection process be made more stringent. In DPS's view when suppliers claim specific functionality in their products they must be tested to provide the functions as if they are not then it would seem that everyone does the same thing. This is clearly not true and misleading.
Osman Ismail has discussed the possibility of the altering the format of the guide to reflect DPS's and certain other suppliers concerns. Meetings will be taking place between DPS and the Law Society to try and address these issues in the 2nd quarter of 2005.
