Teams Are Talking With DPS TeamTalk

It can be a common problem for large law firms; some offices may have their resources stretched whereas others may have a much smaller workload. It seems ineffectual to have resources that are being unused when they could share the workload between branches. Levenes are one such firm that have recognised this as a problem and have found a solution.

As a large firm - in the top 150 ranking of firms nationally in terms of size – recruiting secretaries into their 6 offices is a major hurdle. Again it had been a case of having too many in some offices and not enough in others. It was decided to find a solution to best manage the existing resources without having to recruit more secretaries which was becoming increasingly harder to do.

Levenes have already been using DPS case management for many years and felt it a natural progression to use TeamTalk, but only after extensive research into other digital dictation systems on the market. TeamTalk was chosen because unlike other systems it actually integrates with case management systems including DPS. The TeamTalk solution manages the teams whether they are using DPS case or simply dictation alone. The case system manages the documents whilst Team Talk manages the dictation, authors and secretaries giving the users the best of both worlds. Team Talk allows the team members to be anywhere in the world and also manages work from outsource companies.

Through the implementation of TeamTalk Levenes were able to send work from Fee Earners working from home or to secretaries on maternity leave, and they have even been able to outsource extra work to India.
