Cyber Security

DPS Software produces software for law firms of all sizes and specialities. Whatever your area of practice, our software has you covered. We have been producing legal practice management software for over thirty years now and we are the largest legal software supplier in the UK with hundreds of firms and thousands of individual users. Our practice management solutions cover case management software, legal billing software, digital dictation, client portal solutions, and time recording software.

DPS Cloud is our managed IT solution which has all of the legal software that you need and in addition has Microsoft Office licences and hardware support. With DPS Cloud you can choose the services that you need because not all practices have the same requirements. Our hosting solution puts you in control and you can choose to continue hosting some applications on your own server if you wish. If you choose this option we can supply hardware support, or you can elect to maintain your own hardware. Hosted IT is intended to take away from you the problems of maintaining your own servers, but the choice is always yours.

Law firms are, of course, classed as “high risk” cyber attack targets, and when you make use of DPS Cloud we ensure that your data is safe from cyber attack. Our company received its certificate of accreditation to the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 international standard for information security management in 2012 and was been upgraded to the new standard- ISO/IEC 27001:2013. In order to achieve this level of security we were audited by the British Standards Institution over a Stage 1 preliminary audit followed by a two-day Stage 2 certification audit. We are also Cyber Essentials certified, and if you wish we can help your firm achieve this accreditation as well.

All your data stored on our system is encrypted so that it cannot be read by any third party. We also implement a series of checks and procedures that can alter according to your needs and which ensure that only authorised persons can gain access to data. All your data is stored in our own data centre and is backed up with the Bunker’s cloud storage facilities, which fully complies with the Solicitors Regulation Authority requirements, including definitive data location.

In fact, it is probably fair to say that the security of your data on our system is such that it would be impossible to match on a server on your own premises.
