On Saturday 17th November the CLSA held their annual conference at The Hyatt Regency in Birmingham.

There were numerous interesting speeches from leading industry names like Lady Justice Macur, Chris Henley QC and Bob Neill MP.

DPS were delighted to attend as event sponsors where we had some very interesting discussions with the delegates about the challenges they are facing in the criminal legal market and frustrations they have with legal software systems.

The main issue seems to be around service and how their software provider communicates with them. The representatives from DPS pointed out that we have first line, second line and cashier support all at the end of the phone, based in our North London headquarters. We also brought with us the brochure from this years’ DPS Live which impressed many attendees.

On top of that we gathered further entries for our popular ‘Spitfire Competition’ and generated some interest in our upcoming webinars.

The general feedback we received from our conversations with the delegates is that they just want a legal software company that understands how criminal work is done and that will be available to talk to them if they have any problems. One of the reasons DPS enjoy sponsoring events like these so much is to show that we are always accessible and happy to chat with client’s and prospects alike. In fact, it was at DPS Live this year that we were initially approached about sponsoring the CLSA Conference by one of our clients.

We really enjoyed being there and are already looking forward to next year.
