DPS Pass Cyber Essentials and GDPR Self-Assessment for 2019

DPS Software are very proud to announce that they have passed the Cyber Essentials and GDPR Self-Assessment.

Cyber Essentials aims to help organisations implement basic levels of protection against cyber-attack, demonstrating to their customers that they take cyber security seriously.

DPS assessed themselves against five basic security controls and a qualified assessor verifies the information provided.

Organisations that undertake Cyber Essentials are encouraged to recertify at least once a year and, where appropriate, progress their security. DPS undertook the same process this time last year and regularly progress our security procedures.

Since 1 October 2014, Cyber Essentials became a minimum requirement for bidding for some government contracts and now that we are significantly growing our presence is the local authority and government legal department market it is vital we continue to achieve this accreditation every year.

Having that peace of mind, knowing that your data is secure is absolutely vital for getting the best out of your legal software. Remote and flexible working is becoming vital for surviving in an increasingly demanding and competitive legal services market and you can’t have an effective mobile working strategy without complete confidence in the security of your data. For example, using a completely browser based practice management system such as DPS Spitfire means if and when staff leave the business they immediately lose access to email chains and documents saved on the file, rather than having key communications sitting on their mobile phone.

With DPS your data and your clients data is in safe hands, allowing law firms to enjoy all the benefits of flexible and remote working.
