Implementation of Family Phase 2 Fee Schemes Announced

Practice management solutions-DPSWith the implementation of the new Phase 2 Fee schemes due to take place on Monday 9th May 2011 DPS Software can confirm that their family law software will be updated to work with the new processes and forms involved. This will include changes to the CLS Claim 1A form arising from the introduction on the Phase 2 Fees scheme.

DPS Software’s programming and development teams will endeavour to have the update in place ready for the implementation of the schemes despite only receiving notification of the date on Friday 8th April 2011.


Details of the Phase 2 Fee schemes:

There are two schemes due to be introduced. These are:

1) Family Advocacy Scheme (FAS)
This scheme is designed to introduce a fixed fee scheme for payments for public and private law advocacy.

2) Private Family Law Representation Standard (PFLRS) Fees
This will bring the remainder of the private law family legal aid work under a standard fee regime following the introduction of Level 1 and Level 2 fees in October 2007.
