McGuinness Legal are a niche child practice based in Stoke-on-Trent.
According to the firm’s founder and owner, Joanne McGuinness, they are a specialist team, innovative in the way they work, with excellent skills and knowledge that have helped them establish a transparent method of working with their clients.

"The idea of being able to work from anywhere in the world appealed to me most. Being in charge of the firm, I wanted to keep an eye on things even when away on holiday as well as keep costs under control."
Keeping Costs Down
By opting in for the managed IT solution from DPS, McGuinness Legal no longer had to incur separate IT costs or employ in-house technicians.
This solution has also enabled McGuinness Legal to outsource the Cashiering function of the firm which has resulted in considerable savings right from the start.

DPS Cloud has also removed the need for a common working space, as Joanne points out.
"Even though we have a physical office, this is actually no longer essential since we can login to our case management system remotely, as long as there is an Internet connection in place."
Joanne also mentioned the minimal downtime they have experienced since being on DPS Cloud. "The downtime incurred when I was using an in-house system (in my previous job) was considerably higher amounting to several hours or even a day at a time. With DPS, the disruptions are kept to a minimum and the support we get in the process is always very good."
Legal Aid Compliant
McGuinness Legal are also using the DPS Family Case Management Software which was described by Joanne as "very comprehensive, easy to use and Legal Aid-compliant." As they are using DPS’s managed IT solution, the system is updated for them automatically "so we don’t need to worry about updating our forms" said Joanne.
